JAMMU School Holidays: Schools in Jammu division will remain closed for the upcoming festivals as the Jammu and Kashmir government has announced a five-day holiday this week. According to the order, all government and recognised private schools up to higher secondary level in Jammu division will observe Puja holidays from October 19 to November 2.

The order was issued by Manisha, Personnel Officer, Directorate of School Education Jammu, who said, "It is ordered that all government educational institutions up to higher secondary level and recognised private schools in Jammu division will observe Puja holidays from October 19 to November 2."

Before this, the schools of the Jammu region were closed on October 6 and 7 due to heavy rains. The J&K government announced school closure not because of Valmiki Jayanti, but due to heavy rainfall in the region.

Jammu University Postpones Exam:

In view of the festivals, Jammu University has postponed all examinations scheduled for October 20, 11, and 23 until the holidays are over. A three-day holiday has been declared. Dr. Raj Kumar, Joint Registrar (Examinations), University of Jammu, issued an order stating,

"It is notified for the information of all concerned that the examinations scheduled for October 20, 22, and 23 have been postponed due to the festivals falling on these dates."

The revised dates for these examinations will be announced later. Concerned students are advised to stay in touch with their respective colleges for the correct updates.
