JEE Main 2024 Session: The JEE Main 2024 first session is likely to be conducted in January or February. However, the official date and time are yet to be released by the NTA. The National Testing Agency is expected to release soon the JEE Main 2024 exam calendar. Once released candidates will be able to check the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 exam calendar at nta.ac.in, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
JEE Main 2024 exam is likely to be held in two sessions including January and December 2024. JEE Main 2024 application form is expected to be released in the month of December 2023. There will be two papers including Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Plan). Interested candidates who are either appearing for or have qualified for class 12th with PCM are eligible to participate in the JEE Main examination. Once the application form is out candidates will be able to register from the NTA’s official website.
The JEE Main is conducted for those students who wish to get admission into B. Tech/B.E admission in NITs, IIITs and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating state governments. Candidates who qualified for the JEE mains exams will have to appear for the JEE Advanced exam. The top 2,50,000 Main exam qualifiers will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam.
Candidates who have successfully cleared the JEE Main 2024 examination are required to undertake registration for JoSAA counselling, an essential step towards securing admission to their preferred academic institutions. Moreover, those who have participated in the JEE Advanced examination are also required to complete the JoSAA registration process for securing admission to the IITs. The entire counselling registration process is conducted online, culminating in seat allotment that is determined by the candidates' All India Rank.
