JEE Main Result 2026 Date: The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced last night that the JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 result will now be declared on February 16. According to the information bulletin, the result was earlier scheduled to be released by February 12.

Once declared, candidates can check their JEE Main 2026 results and cut-off marks on the official websites: nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE Main Result 2026: Steps To Download Scorecard PDF

Using the following steps, candidates can download the results once the official announcement is made.

Step 1: Go to the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “JEE Main Result 2026”. 

Step 3: Enter your application number and password. 

Step 4: Type the captcha shown on the screen and submit the login form. 

Step 5: Your JEE Main Session 1 scorecard will be displayed on the screen.

Once you download the scorecard PDF, check out for the following details. 

  • Application number

  • JEE Main session 1 roll number

  • Mother’s name

  • Father’s name

  • Category

  • PwD status

  • Gender

  • Date of birth

  • Nationality

  • State of eligibility

  • Percentile mark in Maths

  • Percentile mark in Chemistry

  • Percentile mark in Physics

JEE Main Result 2026: Normalization Process

Since the JEE Main exam is conducted in multiple shifts, the difficulty level may vary. To ensure fairness and transparency, NTA implements a normalization method to calculate scores. This method reflects the percentage of candidates whose raw scores are equal to or lower than the score of a particular student within the same session.

NTA Score = (100 × Number of candidates in the session with raw scores ≤ candidate’s score) ÷ Total number of candidates in that session

The objection window for the provisional answer key for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 closed on February 6. After reviewing the challenges submitted by candidates, the NTA will release the final answer key.

JEE Main 2026 scores will be used for admission to undergraduate programs such as BE/BTech, BArch, and BPlanning at participating government and private institutions across India.
