Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is providing free coaching for the UPSC Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2025 to students from minority backgrounds, SCs, STs, and women. The Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) on the campus is administering this program, which includes hostel accommodations in addition to classes, as per the official notification. Eligible and interested candidates can check the details at jmicoe.in.

According to the notification, the application process started on March 18 and the last date to apply online will be May 19, 2024. The correction window will open from May 21 to May 22. The entrance exam is set to be held on June 1, 2024. The test will be conducted in 10 exam centers including Delhi, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Jammu, Hyderabad, Srinagar, Guwahati, Mumbai, Patna, and Malappuram.

Free UPSC Coaching: Selection Process

The assessment of candidates' essays in Paper I will be based on their merit, with only the top 900 students advancing to the subsequent stage. Selected candidates will participate in an online interview. In the event of a tie, priority will be accorded based on the candidate's performance in the interview phase, followed by age, favoring younger candidates.

Free UPSC Coaching: Entrance Exam Pattern

The examination consists of two papers: Paper I (General Studies) and Paper II (Essay). Paper I follows the UPSC model and is available in English, Hindi, or Urdu, featuring objective-type questions. Paper II also provides the option of English, Hindi, or Urdu as languages.

The duration of the exam is 3 hours, with 2 hours allocated for General Studies and 1 hour for the Essay section. Negative marking is applicable, with one-third of the marks deducted for incorrect answers.

Free UPSC Coaching: Eligibility Criteria

According to the notification, graduates eligible to apply for the UPSC CSE 2025 are eligible to take the RCA-JMI entrance test.

Applications must be submitted online at jmicoe.in along with a fee of Rs 950 plus applicable charges.
