JMI PhD Admission 2024: The Jamia Millia Islamia University will start the application process for admission to various PhD programmes for the academic session 2024-25 from tomorrow, October 10, 2024. The JMI PhD admission 2024 online application's last date to apply will be October 30, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply at admission.jmi.ac.in.
"Online Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D. programs of Jamia Millia Islamia, Nevw Delhi for the Academic Session 2024-25. The Candidates seeking admission to Ph.D. programs should apply online from 10.10.2024 to 30.10.2024 at https://admission.jmi.ac.in. The schedule for entrance tests will be notified separately," reads the notification.
The entrance test schedule will be announced separately on the official website. Applicants are advised to regularly check the website for updates regarding the entrance exam.
The candidate must hold a Second Class Master's Degree with at least 55 per cent marks from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification approved by the university in the subject they intend to pursue for research.

Before filling out the PhD application form, candidates must first register on the JMI admission portal. Applicants need to provide the required details to generate a registration number and password. After that, they will need to log in using the generated credentials to complete the JMI application form.
Meanwhile, the University Grants Commission (UGC) will begin awarding ten 'PhD Excellence Citations' annually to acknowledge "high-quality PhD work by young research scholars." Starting next year, these citations will honor "outstanding doctoral research," as stated by UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar.
