JoSAA 2026 Round 1 Result: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA ) has published the Round 1 seat allotment results on the official website for the registered candidates today, June 13. Based on the candidate’s ranks in JEE Mains or Advanced and their college preferences, the seats are allotted in Round 1. Those who have received their allotment for this round must pay the allotment fee. Only after payment of SAF will the document upload and verification process start. The document upload and verification deadline is also June 26.
How to Check JoSAA 2026 Round 1 Result?
Candidates can use the following steps to check their allotment status from the official website:
Step 1: Visit the JoSSA official portal at josaa.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the seat allotment link. The JoSSA login page will open.
Step 3: Enter your JEE Main application number and password.
Step 4: The seat allotment results will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Check which college is assigned to you. Save the PDF for future reference.

What Is Freeze, Float Options In JoSSA Counselling?
Freeze and float options have distinctive meanings in the JoSSA counselling. If a candidate chooses the “freeze” option, it means that he/she is 100% satisfied with the college they have been allotted. Such candidates do not want to participate in the next counselling rounds.
On the contrary, choosing the “float” option means that candidates have accepted the current allotted seat but want to participate in the next counselling round for better opportunities. In such cases, candidates might have a better preference list compared to previously locked seats in the choice filling process.
