Karnataka NMMS 2024: The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has extended the application deadline for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) to September 30. The extension allows eligible students extra time to apply for the scholarship program via the official website, kseab.karnataka.gov.in.

The Ministry of Education's NMMS scheme grants scholarships to students in grades 9 through 12 who succeed academically but come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The plan enables such students to continue their education by reducing the financial load of school tuition and other expenses.

The NMMS scheme contributes significantly to lowering the dropout rate amongst economically disadvantaged students by giving financial aid to help them complete their education till the senior secondary level. This expansion allows more students to benefit from the program, potentially improving their academic and professional prospects.
