Kerala School Holiday 2024: The Kerala government has announced a public holiday for tomorrow, October 11, in observance of Navratri pooja. All schools and colleges will be closed to celebrate Mahanavami. According to media reports, schools have already issued internal notice announcing tomorrow's holiday. Students and parents are advised to reach out to their respective school authorities for further details.
Minister for General Education V Sivankutty has announced a holiday for all schools in the state under the General Education Department. Celebrations and preparations for Puja will commence this evening. Following the Durga Ashtami and Mahanavami pujas on October 11 and 12, the Vijayadashami puja is set for the morning of October 13. Notably, schools will reopen on Monday.

According to Kerala's official holiday calendar, the holiday for Navratri festivities was initially scheduled for October 10, not October 11. However, V Sivankutty announced the holiday for October 11 after reviewing a memorandum submitted to him by the National Teachers' Union (NTU).
