Maharashtra RTE Admissions 2025: The Maharashtra School Education Department has started the registration process for the Right to Education (RTE) admissions 2025 for 25 per cent reserved seats in schools. The last date to submit the application form will be January 27, 2025. Parents looking to secure admissions for their children can submit applications through the official website at student.maharashtra.gov.in.

“Under Section 12 (c) (1) of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, children belonging to weaker and disadvantaged sections are entitled to self-financing schools, unaided schools, police welfare schools (unaided) and municipal schools (self-financing schools),” reads the notification.

Eligibility Criteria

- Children from families with an annual household income of less than Rs 1 lakh qualify for the EWS category.

- During the application process, applicants can select up to 10 preferred schools.

- To ensure a successful application, it is essential to provide accurate details, including the child's date of birth, parents' income information, and all required documents.

- Students already admitted under the RTE quota in previous years are not eligible to apply again.

Guidelines

Parents must determine the distance between their home and the school using Google Maps while filling out the application form, as stated in the notification.

- It is essential to complete the application within the prescribed time frame. To avoid technical issues like internet disruptions during the final days of submission, parents are advised to apply early.

- Accurate information must be provided during the application process, including details such as the home address, date of birth, income certificate, disability certificate, caste certificate, and other relevant documents.

- If it is discovered that a child previously admitted under the 25% admission process was re-admitted using false information, the admission will be canceled.

- Parents are required to submit only one complete application at a time and must not upload any documents online.
