It should be mentioned that Manipur School pupils took their summer holiday from May 4 to May 30, 2023. In light of the state of Manipur's law and order, subsequent instructions were issued. Given the state of affairs, the holiday was prolonged.
Earlier, on July 5, classes for grades 1 through 8 had resumed. After a break of more than two months during which the state experienced ethnic conflict, more than 4,521 schools from grades I to VIII resumed classes. The pupils who had been uprooted due to the ethnic unrest were given free entrance to adjacent schools.
