MCC NEET UG Counselling 2024: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has changed the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Undergraduate (NEET UG) counselling timetable for 2024 in response to requests from applicants and the Bihar counselling authority. According to the updated dates, the deadline for filling out options has been extended to October 11, and the seat allotment result announcement has been rescheduled for October 12. The committee has also allowed students who were allocated seats in prior rounds to quit.

Medical applicants who wish to withdraw from their seats in the first or second round of MBBS, BDS counselling can do so before 1 p.m. on October 10. Round 1 applicants who were not upgraded in Round 2 may resign from their seats without forfeiting their security deposit within the timeframe specified.

“It is for the information to all candidates that due to various requests being received from counselling authority, Bihar/ candidates the competent authority has decided to extend the schedule of round-3 of UG counselling and also provide resignation facility to candidates who have been allotted seats through round-2 of Bihar state counselling,” said MCC in an official notification.

Freshly allotted applicants from round 2 who entered their seat but now wish to resign, as well as those who were upgraded in the second round and entered the upgraded seat but now want to quit, may leave their seat with the loss of their security deposit within the time frame specified for resignation.

All such students must personally report to their assigned college to relinquish their seats. MCC recommends students make sure that their resignation letter is generated electronically (using the MCC portal) by the designated college, else the resignation will be considered 'Null & Void'.

The counselling authority has also reopened the PwD portal. It will be accessible till 12 noon today.
