MP NEET PG Counselling 2024: The Madhya Pradesh Directorate of Medical Education has announced the amended merit list for the second round of the state's National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling in 2024. Applicants who apply for MD/MS admissions can find the MP NEET PG 2024 merit list on the official website, dme.mponline.gov.in.
In addition to the MP NEET PG round 2 merit list, the DME has published an advisory for round 2 counselling, a list of qualified applicants, a list of applicants who choose to upgrade, a list of candidates who are pleased with round 1 seats, and a list of round 2 vacancies.
According to the MP NEET PG 2024 counselling timetable, aspirants can submit new choices for the second round of admissions by January 6. The seat allotment results will be announced on January 8.
The MP High Court has delayed counselling for Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota seats due to an alleged violation of reservation policy in private medical institutes. Following the decision, the allotment for NRI applicants was withheld.
MP NEET PG Counselling 2024: DME MP's instructions for aspirants
The DME MP gave the following recommendation to NEET PG aspirants:
- According to the round 2 counselling timetable, those who are eligible (as per the Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Admission Rules 2018, Amendment 2 July 2024, Clause 8, Rule 11, Sub-rule 2) must finish a new choice-filling and choice-locking on the portal within the time limit.
- Except for phase 1 applicants and those who have resigned after being assigned a seat, applicants who wish to make modifications to their registration will have one final option to do so before the second phase counselling, within the time restriction. There will be no further opportunities beyond the deadline.
- To be considered in the second round, applicants who are unreserved for state quota postgraduate courses must pay an advance fee of Rs 25,000 for government colleges and Rs 12,500 for reserved category applicants during the second phase's choice-filling process. For private colleges, the advance fee will be Rs 2 lakh. For NRI quota applicants, the cost will be Rs 10 lakh. This advance fee will be adjusted as per the rules.
- Applicants who have already been admitted in the first phase of government/private colleges will have their advance fee for the second phase deducted from the academic tuition they paid in the first.
- Those who did not receive an allotment in the first phase must pay the above-mentioned advance charge to fill out their choices in the second phase.
- Aspirants from Madhya Pradesh (local domicile) and those from outside the state (non-domicile) would be permitted to engage in choice-filling and choice-locking during the second phase of counselling.
- The second phase will prioritize local domicile applicants. If there are no local domicile aspirants on the merit list, non-domicile applicants will be given preference based on their qualifications.

- Applicants are recommended to write down their selections (choices) in advance before putting them into the portal so that they do not become confused while filling them out. Aspirants should avoid colleges with mandatory fees that they cannot afford. It is therefore stated that if an applicant does not accept admission following allocation, the advance fee for the second phase will be forfeited, and they will be ineligible for counselling in subsequent phases.
- Aspirants who are newly assigned a seat in the second phase or whose college, subject, or category has been upgraded must enrol in the newly allotted institution within the time frame specified (second phase). If they do not accept entry, the upfront deposit will be forfeited. If an applicant wishes to upgrade to the same institution from the first phase (topic or category), the online application procedure must be completed again.
- If an applicant resigns from the institution allotted in the second round, he or she would forfeit Rs 2 lakh as a penalty.
- Aspirants who are assigned a seat in the second phase, as well as those who were assigned a seat in the first phase but did not earn an upgrade in the second phase, may request an upgrade in the mop-up phase.
- Those who opted for an upgrade but were not upgraded in the second phase would continue at their former institution. They don't have to do anything. They can sign up for an upgrade during the mop-up phase.
- Aspirants who chose the option of upgrading in the second phase but did not complete their choices for the second phase will remain in the seat assigned to them in the first phase. However, such applicants will not be qualified for an upgrade during the mop-up phase.
- After the allotment results are announced, applicants can download and print their allotment letter using their login ID.
- Newly allotted aspirants must report to the allocated institution within the time frame specified (counselling timetable) and have their original papers validated by the institution's admission committee. The list of necessary papers will be included in the proforma. Those who qualify must provide all original documentation to the admissions committee.
- Applicants who were assigned a seat during the first phase of counselling must submit the following documents after upgrading to the newly assigned college: the list of original documents submitted with the first-phase admission slip, the document verification receipt, and the second-phase allotment letter. They must also pay the entrance price for the newly assigned college online (which will be deducted from the academic fee paid in the initial step). If an applicant paid a surplus for the admission fee through the portal, the excess amount will be repaid once the counselling procedure is completed.
- Net banking, debit card, credit card, and RTGS are all options for making an online payment. Applicants can select more than one payment method. Aspirants should check that online banking is enabled on their account and that there are sufficient funds in it.
- After the fee is paid, the college will provide the applicant with an online admission slip. Once the counselling process is completed, any refunds will be issued to the registered bank account given during the registration process.
