The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) plans to release new textbooks for Class 3 by the last week of April and for Class 6 by mid-May. These textbooks will incorporate changes recommended in the National Curriculum Framework School Education (NCF-SE) 2024. Parents and students are advised to keep patience throughout this process.

NCERT's initiative to introduce these textbooks is in accordance with a recent directive from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which requires the adoption of new syllabi and textbooks for Classes 3 and 6 starting from the upcoming academic session.

NCERT has provided a bridge course for teachers on its official website, ncert.nic.in, aimed at familiarising them with the new textbooks for Class 6. Moreover, guidelines for Class 3 have been introduced to ease the transition for students towards the new pedagogical strategies.
