The reduction in the NEET MDS 2024 revised cut-off aligns with the regulations of the Dental Council of India (DCI) and aims to address the issue of vacant seats in MDS programs nationwide. According to the notification, the NBEMS has been instructed to release the revised results, and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will take appropriate action based on the updated cut-offs.
The NEET MDS exam was held on March 18, 2024, and the results were announced on April 3, 2024.
NEET-MDS is the only eligibility-cum-ranking examination for admission to MDS courses, as prescribed under the Dentists Act, 1948 (amended periodically). No other entrance exam, whether at the state or institutional level, is accepted for entry into MDS programs. Qualifying NEET-MDS is mandatory for admission to MDS courses at various universities and institutions across the country.
