NEET PG Counselling 2025 Live Updates: MCC Round 1 Registration Begins For MD, MS Courses, Counselling Schedule Expected Soon

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to announce the NEET PG 2025 counselling dates and schedule for Round 1 soon. Since registration has already begun, candidates should regularly visit the MCC website to check important dates for registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and admission deadlines for each counselling round.

Students who don’t secure a seat in NEET PG Round 1 can participate in Round 2 counselling. The MCC will release the Round 2 seat matrix before the process begins, allowing candidates to review available seats and counselling details online.

The NEET PG 2025 round 1 counselling registration is expected to continue for around three weeks. However, the official last date is yet to be announced. Last year, registration lasted 59 days, so round 1 counselling for 2025 may conclude by the last week of November.

The NEET PG 2025 round 1 choice filling and locking dates are yet to be announced. Typically, this process occurs during the registration period and is expected to conclude by the last week of November 2025.

The National Medical Commission has increased NEET PG 2025 seat intake by a total of 2337 seats across India. As per the revised seat matrix, Karnataka has received 422 seats, followed by Gujarat (247 seats), Maharashtra (183 seats) and Uttar Pradesh (233 seats).

The NEET PG 2025 Round 1 counseling process is the first round of counseling. Currently, NEET PG counseling registration for Round 1 admission is underway. After the registration process is complete, students will be able to fill in their preferences and create a shortlist of colleges and courses.

The Medical Counselling Committee will release the NEET PG 2025 round-wise counselling schedule soon. The round-wise schedule will include registration dates, choice filling and locking dates, seat allotment dates, and admission last dates for admission to PG medical courses across India.

The NEET PG 2025 counselling registration is open only to eligible candidates who have qualified the exam with marks above the cutoff. Additionally, candidates must complete their compulsory internship within the prescribed deadline to participate in the counselling process.

There are four rounds of counselling- Round 1, 2, 3 and stray vacancy round.

For candidates applying under the Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category, MCC has mandated the following:

-The NEET PG 2025 result card.

-A valid UDID (Unique Disability ID) card.

-Self-certified affidavits in the prescribed format, including disability-specific affidavits.
