NEET UG 2024 Counselling: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will start the counselling process for All India Quota (AIQ) undergraduate medical seats soon. The NTA previously informed the Supreme Court that the counselling process would begin on July 6. To facilitate this, the NTA scheduled the NEET re-test for June 23, with the results being declared on July 1. The MCC will release the detailed notification and schedule at mcc.nic.in.
The NTA conducted of NEET-UG re-exam on June 23 for 1,563 candidates who had initially received grace marks due to a 'loss of time' during the exam. Out of the 1,563 candidates, only 813 opted to take the re-exam. The remaining 48 per cent of candidates chose to retain their original scores without the grace marks.
The MCC NEET counselling covers 15 per cent of all India quota seats, seats in central universities (Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi, and Faculty of Dentistry at Jamia Milia Islamia), as well as seats in colleges under the Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.

On July 8, a bench led by Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud will hear a batch of more than 30 petitions challenging alleged irregularities in the NEET UG 2024 examination and related matters. The bench includes Justice J B Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra.

Candidates must note that additional documents will be required, and these details will be communicated along with the notice issued by MCC. It is recommended to prepare these documents in advance for the counselling process.
