NEET UG 2025 counselling: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the detailed counselling schedule for NEET UG 2025 admissions into MBBS and BDS courses across All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed/Central Universities, and State Quotas. The NEET UG result was declared on June 14, 2025, paving the way for the admission process.

Counselling for State Quota seats will begin from July 21, and for AIQ/Deemed/Central institutions from July 30, 2025. The academic session starts on September 1, and to ensure deadlines are met, institutions must function even on weekends and holidays. The last round—Stray Vacancy—concludes by October 3.

 NEET UG 2025 Counselling Rounds & Key Dates

The counselling process will be conducted in three main rounds followed by a Stray Vacancy round at both the state and national levels.

  • Round 1: July 21–30 (State) | July 30–Aug 6 (AIQ)

  • Round 2: Aug 12–20 (State) | Aug 19–29 (AIQ)

  • Round 3: Sep 3–10 (State) | Sep 9–18 (AIQ)

  • Stray Vacancy: Sep 22–26 (State) | Sep 25–29 (AIQ)
    Final joining must be completed by October 3, 2025. Candidate verifications follow each round for transparency and compliance.

What Students Should Know?

  • Joining Deadlines: Each counselling round ends with a strict deadline for joining the allotted college. Missing it leads to cancellation.

  • Verification: Post each round, candidate documents and eligibility will be verified by MCC and state authorities.

  • Stray Vacancy: The last opportunity for admission, open only to unfilled seats, ends by Oct 3, 2025.

    • Institutions must follow MCC instructions to treat weekends and holidays as working days to meet academic session deadlines.
