NEET UG Re-Exam 2026: A high-level meeting was held today, June 18, 2026, to review the preparedness, security measures, and exam logistics for the Re-NEET on June 21, 2026. The meeting was chaired by the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, with senior representatives from the Ministry of Education, state governments, the National Testing Agency (NTA), and higher education institutions. He emphasised the need for coordination at all levels to ensure fair and transparent conduct of the NEET UG exam on June 21. The Minister has asked all nodal officers to provide the necessary facilities to candidates during the examination.
The review meeting was attended by Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Sanjay Kumar; Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Vineet Joshi; and Director General, NTA, Abhishek Singh.
NTA Asks Students To Stay Calm And Focus On Preparation
With only three days left for the RE-NEET 2026, through its official Twitter account, NTA has advised candidates to stay calm, rest well and solely focus on preparation. The agency has advised candidates to refrain from any rumours floating on social media and only trust the official website for any updates.
To ensure the fair conduct of the Re-NEET, NTA has claimed that extensive arrangements have been made in collaboration with ministries, state governments, and security agencies. It has warned those attempting to disrupt the exam, stating that strict action would be taken against those attempting to disrupt the exam.
“Any attempt at malpractice will be dealt with firmly – because protecting honest, hardworking students is exactly what this is about," it said.

NTA Opens Helpline Number To Support Students
Acknowledging the exam pressure on candidates, NTA has offered mental health support through the MANAS helpline number, 14416. Candidates feeling anxious about the exam can contact this number and seek help. Additionally, the agency has also urged parents, teachers and the general public to help students remain calm and refrain from sharing misleading information with them.
NEET Re-Exam On June 21
The exam is now scheduled for June 21, 2026, following the cancellation of the June 3 examination. The test will be held in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM at designated exam centres under strict supervision. The additional 15 minutes are provided to candidates for the completion of post-exam formalities without any stress.
