Beat Post-12th Career Confusion: The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, has officially launched the "My Career Advisor" (MCA) mobile application to assist school students, parents, and educators in navigating post-secondary education and career decisions.

Developed as a joint initiative with NCERT-PSSCIVE and the Wadhwani Foundation under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 framework, the application aims to remove uncertainty around academic choices after Class 10 and Class 12.

 

Designed as a personal, pocket-sized career counselor, the MCA app bridges the gap between traditional schooling and future-ready career opportunities. By leveraging smart questionnaires and AI-driven insights, the platform delivers personalized recommendations matched directly to a student's unique skills, interests, values, and aptitudes.

Over 1,800 Career Options at Your Fingertips

The MCA platform offers an extensive repository of more than 1,800 career options across diverse sectors. Students can seamlessly search, compare, and explore traditional as well as emerging, technology-driven job roles. Each profile gives comprehensive details regarding required qualifications, day-to-day responsibilities, expected skill sets, and long-term growth trajectories.

Personalised AI-Driven Recommendations

Rather than offering generic guidance, the app uses interactive psychometric assessment questionnaires to map a student's individual strengths. Based on these inputs, the app generates personalized career suggestions. Students can save their favorite profiles, evaluate multiple choices side-by-side, and download self-review reports to share with their parents, teachers, and school counselors.

Bilingual and Accessible Platform

To ensure widespread reach across both urban and rural student populations, the "My Career Advisor" app is completely free and fully accessible in both Hindi and English. The user-friendly interface caters to students from Class 9 to 12, helping democratise expert career counseling across India.

Beyond assisting students, the app serves as a practical tool for parents and teachers.
