MP Police Constable GD Recruitment 2026: The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has released the notification for the MP Police Constable GD Recruitment 2026. A total of 7,500 constable posts will be filled through direct recruitment.

MP Police Constable Vacancy 2026: Post-Wise Details
According to the notification, 7,500 Constable GD posts will be filled. Of these, 700 posts are reserved for the Special Armed Force (SAF), while 6,800 posts are for cadres other than SAF.
The 700 SAF posts are available only for male candidates. For the 6,800 non-SAF posts, a 35% horizontal reservation for women has been provided as per the recruitment rules. Candidates should note that the current notification concerns Constable GD recruitment and does not include other police posts.
MP Police Constable 2026: Eligibility and Age Limit
Candidates must meet the prescribed educational and age requirements to apply. The minimum age is 18 years, while the maximum age varies according to category and gender.
For unreserved male candidates from Madhya Pradesh, the maximum age is 33 years, while the maximum age for female candidates is 38 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories can avail themselves of age relaxation according to applicable government rules.
For educational qualification, candidates from the General, SC and OBC categories must have passed Class 10 or Higher Secondary/equivalent, while candidates belonging to the ST category must have passed Class 8 or equivalent.

MP Police Constable 2026 Application, Fee and Exam Pattern
The MP Police Constable application process will start on September 22 through the official MPESB website, esb.mp.gov.in. Candidates will have until October 6 to complete the application. The correction window will remain open until October 11.
The examination will consist of 100 objective-type questions carrying 100 marks, with a duration of two hours. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The application fee for General category candidates is ₹500, while MP SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates are required to pay Rs 250, apart from applicable portal and departmental charges.
MP Police Constable 2026 Selection Process and Salary
The selection process will begin with the written examination. Based on performance, candidates approximately seven times the number of vacancies may be shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). PET marks will also be considered for the final merit list, followed by document verification and medical procedures.
The Constable GD post carries a prescribed pay scale of Rs 19,500 to Rs 62,000. During the initial three years, selected candidates will receive a stipend equivalent to 70%, 80% and 90% of the minimum salary, respectively. Eligible employees may also receive allowances such as DA, HRA and TA according to government rules.
