SSC CPO Recruitment 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (SIs) in the Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) today, September 10, 2026. Candidates can download the notification PDF from the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in and check all relevant details before applying. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,871 tentative vacancies across categories. Alongside the notification, the Commission has also opened the registration portal till September 30, 2026. The last date to pay the online registration fee is October 1, 2026. Following this, the authorities will open the application correction form from October 8 to 10, 2026. The schedule for the computer-based examination will be notified later.

SSC CPO Recruitment 2026: Vacancy Details
The Staff Selection Commission has announced a total of 1,871 tentative vacancies for the post of Sub-Inspector in various Central Armed Police Forces and Delhi Police. Out of the total posts, 205 posts are available for male candidates, while 112 are available for female applicants in the Delhi Police. Moreover, Sub-Inspector posts in the CAPFs comprise 1,320 vacancies, and 234 vacancies are available for Sub-Inspector (Fire) in the CISF for male candidates.
SSC CPO Pay Scale 2026
Selected candidates will be recruited to posts of SI in CAPFs and are liable to serve anywhere in India. They will be paid under Pay Level-6 of the 7th CPC.

The application fee for the SSC CPO for General category candidates is Rs 100. However, SC/ST, female, and eligible ex-service candidates are exempted from the registration fee.
