NIFT 2026 Answer Key For GAT: The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) 2026 provisional answer key on February 17, 2026 for Stage 1 examinations. The challenge window will close today, February 19, 2026 at 11:50 PM. Candidates who want to raise objections must complete the process within the prescribed deadline.
The provisional key for the General Ability Test (GAT) for B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, M.F.Tech, and MFM programs has been released. No answer key has been released for the Creative Ability Test (CAT). Along with the answer key, the NTA has also made available the question paper and separate response sheets so that candidates can verify their recorded responses and calculate their tentative scores.
NIFT 2026 Objection Window Fee:
The objection facility will bw active only till today 19 February 2026 at 11:50 PM. After this deadline, no further challenges will be accepted. Candidates must pay INR 200 per question to submit objections. The fee is non-refundable. Subject experts will review all challenges before publishing the final answer key. The NIFT Result 2026 will be prepared based on the revised and finalised key.
When NIFT 2026 Final Answer Key & Result Be Released?
The NIFT 2026 Stage 1 i.e.written exam results are expected to be released in the last week of April 2026. The results will be available on the official NTA NIFT website. The final results for PG and UG programs, including Stage 2, are expected by the last week of June 2026.
What Are NIFT 2026 Marking Scheme For Score Calculation?
Candidates can estimate their score using the official marking scheme for GAT. The evaluation pattern is as follows:
1. Each question carries 1 mark
2. Each correct answer carries 1 mark
3. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer, and no marks will be awarded for unanswered questions.
If any answers are changed after review, marks will be awarded based on the final answer key. Only answers that match the updated key will be considered correct.
