NIRF Ranking 2024: The Ministry of Education will release the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2024 on August 12, 2024, at 3 pm. The NIRF Rankings 2024 will be announced at a press conference to be headed by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The rankings will include the top colleges across 13 categories, such as Engineering, Medical, Management, Dental, Pharmacy, Law, and others.

The NIRF evaluates Indian institutions based on teaching-learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and perception. In the NIRF ranking system, 30 per cent weightage is assigned to both teaching-learning and resources and research and professional practice. Graduation outcomes receive 20 per cent weightage, while outreach and inclusivity and perception are weighted at 10 per cent each. NIRF ranks higher educational institutions in the country using objective criteria to encourage competitive excellence in higher education.

NIRF Ranking 2024: Parameters And Weightages

Teaching, Learning & Resources: 30 per cent

Research and Professional Practice: 30 per cent

Graduation Outcomes: 20 per cent

Outreach and Inclusivity: 10 per cent

Perception: 10 per cent

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and launched by the Minister of Human Resource Development on September 23, 2015. This framework provides a methodology for ranking institutions across the country.
