OTET 2024 Registration: The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2024 registration period has opened, according to the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. The OTET 2024 registration form can be completed by qualified applicants by going to the official website, bseodisha.ac.in. The application form must be completed by July 5th.
The application cost for candidates belonging to scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) is Rs 600 for one paper and Rs 900 for both papers (paper 1 and paper 2). The cost for one paper is Rs 900 for candidates in all other categories, while the cost for both papers is Rs 1,400.
Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be the two papers that make up the OTET 2024 exam. Every exam will take place over 2.5 hours. There will be multiple choice questions (MCQs) on both papers, with each question worth one mark. Negative points won't be awarded.
The minimal passing scores for the OTET 2024 exam differ depending on the category. Candidates in the general category ought to score at least 60%. A minimum score of 50% is required for candidates from scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), socially and educationally backward classes (SEBC), and other backward classes (OBC).
OTET 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates may review the requirements listed below for eligibility to the OTET 2024.
Category A
- A minimum of 50% in higher secondary education or its equivalent, together with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd). or
- A 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) degree and a Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% of the required credits. or
- A minimum of 50% in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) are required. or
- A minimum of 50% in the final exam and a Bachelor of Education (BEd)
Category B
- A two-year elementary education diploma (under whatever name it may be known) and graduation. or
- Completion of a one-year Bachelor of Education (BEd) program with a minimum of 50% of credits. or
- Completion of a 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program with a minimum of 45% of the possible points, in compliance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations that are periodically released in this respect. or
- A four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) degree or its equivalent, with at least 50% of the marks in Higher Secondary. or
- A 4-year Bachelor of Arts-Bachelor of Science in Education (BA-BScEd) or Bachelor of Arts Education-Bachelor of Science Education (BAEd-BScEd) degree, or higher secondary school or its equivalent with at least 50% of the possible points. or
- A minimum of 50% in the final year of education and a one-year BEd (Special Education).
