Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi is all set to launch the Jananayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University, schemes worth 60,000 crore and will address the youth of Bihar today on October 4, 2025. PM Modi will unveil youth-focused initiatives and schemes worth more than Rs 62,000 crore on Saturday with a special emphasis on Bihar, a statement published by his office.

His office described this announcement as a landmark exercise and an initiative in empowering youngsters through education, entrepreneurship and skill development. PM Narendra Modi will also launch yearly financial assistance for two years for those students who are unemployed but they are preparing for the competitive examination. 

This University will help teachers to teach skill development, which has been envisioned to impart industry-oriented programmes and vocational training to create a worldwide competitive workforce.

The National Education Policy 2020 has a vision to make higher education avenues better. PM Modi is all set to lay the foundations stone of the new academic and research facilities in four universities and the names of the Universities are Patna University, Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University in Madhepura, Jai Prakash Vishwavidyalaya in Chapra and Nalanda Open University in Patna, under the PM-USHA (Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan).

Together, these projects are expected to benefit more than 27,000 students by enabling modern academic infrastructure and educational opportunities, laboratories, hostels and multidisciplinary learning facilities.

Bihta Campus Of NIT Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bihta campus of NIT Patna today. The campus will host 6,500 students, and its advanced facilities include a 5G use case lab for students, an Academic Centre for Space in collaboration with Indian Space Research Organisation, and an Incubation Centre for entrepreneurship and start ups.

Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme: PM Narendra Modi will launch the redesigned Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme. In this scheme, students will get interest-free education loans of up to Rs 4 lakh for their studies, reducing the financial burden on them. Under this scheme, around 3.92 lakh students have availed loans of Rs 7,880 crore.
