Rajasthan Schools Closed: The administration of Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district has announced that all schools will conduct online classes for students in classes 1 to 5 for four days starting Wednesday, due to the alarmingly high pollution levels in Delhi-NCR.
District Collector Kishore Kumar issued the order on Tuesday, following the Supreme Court's directives for states in the Delhi-NCR region to evaluate the feasibility of physical classes for students up to class 12 amid the worsening air quality.
As per the order, all government and private schools in the district will suspend physical classes for students of classes 1 to 5 from November 20 to 23, or until further notice, whichever comes first.

During this period, teachers will conduct online classes for the affected students. While students are exempt from attending school physically, teachers are required to be present on campus to facilitate the online sessions, as reported by the news agency PTI.
Khairthal-Tijara, a district carved out of Alwar in August 2023, falls within the National Capital Region (NCR).
