IIT-JEE Success Story: In 2010, Sahal Kaushik made history by passing the IIT-JEE exam at the age of 14. It should be noted that he at the time was the youngest student to pass the IIT-JEE exam. He got hold of AIR 33. Sahal, a Delhi native, enrolled in IIT Kanpur's five-year integrated MSc (Physics) program for undergraduates after passing the IIT-JEE exam.

He decided to pursue a PhD after completing his IIT Kanpur course, making him the youngest PhD scholar in the US at the age of 19. For his PhD, he attended Stony Brook University in New York.

The youngest genius passed both the GRE and the TOEFL with scores of 337 out of 340 and 112 out of 120. He travelled to the US to continue his work studying high-energy particles.

His choice to immigrate to the US was noteworthy because it marked his first attempt to leave the house without his mother. His mother was with him when he finished his studies at IIT Kanpur, it should be emphasised. His mother claims that despite his quiet and introverted nature, he received no special treatment at IIT. In an interview with TOI, his mother claimed that his son's IIT experience helped him grow up and become more outgoing.

He was a gifted student who memorised the tables up to 100 when he was a young boy. When he was just six years old, he read H.G. Wells' "Time Machine." He enjoys playing Star Wars video games in addition to studying. He enjoys reading and watching movies. He loves both The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones.

It should be emphasised that there are no age requirements for attending IIT, but applicants must pass class XII, which is why he enrolled in Vandana International School in Dwarka and earned a 78% grade point average there. Ruchi Kaushik, Sahal's mother, is a former doctor who now stays at home and has contributed significantly to his achievement.
