School Chalo Abhiyan Phase 2: The Uttar Pradesh state government has officially announced the launch of the second phase of the 'School Chalo Abhiyan'. This extensive, targeted school enrolment drive is structurally scheduled to commence on July 1 and will run through July 15, 2026. The primary focus of this phase is to secure 100 percent student registration across primary and secondary educational levels, while simultaneously implementing dropout reduction strategies to bring discontinued learners back into the active schooling system.

In an official public message, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasised that no single child should remain deprived of institutional education within the state. He called for a highly synchronized collective effort uniting parents, school administrations, teachers, and local citizens to transform this educational campaign into a widespread people's movement.

The Chief Minister added that the long-term socioeconomic future of Uttar Pradesh hinges directly on providing equal learning and developmental opportunities to every youth.

Operation Kayakalp: Focused on systematically revamping public school facilities, optimizing campus safety, and providing fundamental infrastructure utilities.

Mission Prerna & Mission Nipun: Structured to monitor student learning outcomes closely and implement higher quality educational standards for primary levels.

Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Scheme: Targeted at scaling up academic enrollment, housing, and protective learning opportunities for girls.

Nutritional Support Programs: Providing freshly cooked, nutritious mid-day meals in government-run facilities to advance health security and student retention.

To build a more cohesive environment around state schools, specific behavioral and instructional modifications have been urged by the administration:

Activity-Based Learning Modules: Educators are encouraged to introduce sports and creative classroom activities to foster deeper student engagement and connection with schools.

Holistic Parental Support Systems: Parents are advised to support their children's foundational confidence rather than judging student development solely through academic marksheets.

Early Childhood Registrations: Local campaigns will prioritize registering children aged 3 to 6 years old into specialized 'Bal Vatika' foundational programs.

Attendance Tracking Mandates: School clusters will run persistent checks to track and ensure regular daily attendance, preventing early student dropouts.
