Schools Closed News: In wake of heavy rainfall lashing out on several regions across the country and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing red or orange alerts for various districts, the government and local administration have decided to close schools in certain areas. As of today, July 26, schools in Noida, Dakshina Kannada, Telangana, and Raigad are among the districts where school closures have been implemented in response to the adverse weather situations.
Maharashtra Schools Closed
In the wake of heavy rains and incessant rainfall in several regions of Maharashtra, schools in Raigad district are closed today, June 26. The administration has announced a school holiday to prioritise the safety of citizens. Students and parents are advised to stay in contact with the school authorities to receive the latest updates regarding the Maharashtra school holiday. In response to the heavy rains in the region and the red alert issued by the meteorological department, Raigad District Collector Yogesh Mhase has issued orders for school closure.

Telangana Schools Closed
Telangana schools will remain closed on July 26 and July 27, 2023, due to heavy rainfall. The decision to close schools comes after the state was placed on a red alert by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) for the forecast of very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall.
In response to the continuous heavy rainfall in the state over the last few days, Telangana Chief Minister KC Rao has directed the State Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy to declare holidays for all educational institutions on July 26th and 27th.

Karnataka Schools Closed
As per the orders of the Deputy Commissioner, schools and colleges in Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka, will remain closed today, July 26, 2023, due to heavy rains.

Noida Schools Closed
Due to heavy rains and thunder lashing out on Noida since morning, resulting in waterlogging and traffic congestion, a school holiday has been declared for today, July 26. The District Inspector of schools in Noida made the announcement at 7 am in the morning.
