Delhi NCR School Closed Due To Pollution: Schools in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, and Faridabad have shifted to online classes for all students. The Delhi government specifically announced this decision for classes 10 and 12, extending the earlier directive that suspended physical classes for students up to classes 9.
While Delhi and Faridabad have not specified an end date for online classes, Noida and Gurugram have halted in-person classes until November 23. This decision follows the Supreme Court's directive urging states to transition to online classes due to the worsening pollution levels across the Delhi-NCR region.
Ghaziabad schools will shift to online classes on Tuesday, November 19, in preparation for the Assembly bypolls scheduled in the region on November 20.

Moreover, the University of Delhi (DU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) have also extended their online classes. DU will continue online classes until at least November 23, while JNU has set November 22 as the tentative date to resume physical classes, citing the ongoing severe air quality crisis in Delhi-NCR.
Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 493 on Monday evening, the highest recorded this season, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). In Gurugram, the AQI stood at 402, placing it in the 'severe' category.
For the second consecutive day, Delhi's air quality plunged into the 'severe plus' category on Monday. In response, authorities implemented anti-pollution measures under Stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).
