District Magistrate declares holiday:

The District Magistrate has stated that this holiday will apply to all state-run, non-government-aided, unaided, CBSE and ICSE board-run schools, colleges, and training centers. The District Magistrate has clearly stated in the order that no educational activities will be held on these days. The Maa Shakambhari Devi fair is an important part of Saharanpur's religious and cultural significance. This fair draws a large crowd of devotees.

Three more consecutive holidays:

Just last week, students received three consecutive days of holiday for Navratri and Dussehra. District Magistrate Manish Bansal stated that this holiday was declared for two main reasons. The Maa Shakambhari Devi fair in Saharanpur district is considered very important, and under government regulations, October 6th will be a local holiday in the district. This holiday has been declared in keeping with the district's cultural and religious significance. Additionally, as per the Uttar Pradesh government's directives, October 7th has been declared a public holiday for Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti. This holiday has been implemented throughout the state.

Thus, there will be two consecutive days of holiday on October 6th and 7th. October 5th is a Sunday, so students and employees in the district will receive three consecutive days of holiday on October 5th, 6th, and 7th, resulting in another three-day holiday for students.

All educational institutions and offices will remain closed:

District Magistrate Manish Bansal issued an order stating that these instructions are not limited to government schools only, but that all educational institutions, including government, non-government, aided, and unaided, operating in Saharanpur district, must comply with these orders.

All private and public schools run by CBSE and ICSE boards will also be required to comply with these orders. The District Magistrate has issued a strict warning to all concerned institutions to strictly enforce these instructions.

This step ensures that all citizens of the district, especially students, will benefit from the holiday on this occasion and will have the opportunity to participate in the festivals.
