School Holiday Tomorrow (Saturday) Live Updates: State And City- Wise Schools Closed Due To Rain, Onam And Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi

Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains informed that all government/aided/recognised and private schools, colleges, universities and polytechnics across Punjab will remain closed till September 7, 2025.

The schools and educational instituitse will remain closed in these states amid heavy rains:

-Punjab
-Chandigarh
-Himachal Pradesh

Haryana: Schools in Ambala and Jhajjar districts will remain closed until at least September 5, 2025, due to heavy rainfall forecasts.,

1. All educational institutions in the state will remain closed until September 7, 2025.

2. A red alert is active for districts like Chamba, Kangra, and Kullu, with an orange alert issued for other districts.

Following the heavy rains, schools, colleges and universities have been closed in Punjab till September 7, 2025.

Schools on September 5 on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad. Schools will be closed in Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. 

Due to heavy rains, floods and landslides, schools have been closed in many states and cities till 7th September.

Mumbai: The holiday for Eid-e-Milad has been shifted to September 8 in Mumbai city and suburbs to avoid a conflict with Ganesh Visarjan. However, schools in other districts of Maharashtra will still be closed on September 5

Schools in Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram remain closed today, Sept 4, 2025, amid heavy rains & flood alerts issued by IMD. Safety first as monsoon disrupts daily life. 

Due to deteriorating weather in Punjab, schools will remain closed till September 7. There are flood-like conditions in the state, due to which all schools and colleges are closed for the last one week.

2. A red alert is active for districts like Chamba, Kangra, and Kullu, with an orange alert issued for other districts like Shimla and Solan due to flash floods and landslides

Following the heavy rains, an alert has been issued in Rupnagar and Patiala districts and people have been urged to remain vigilant while all schools, colleges and universities have been closed till September 7, PTI reported.

Milad-Un-Nabi is a public holiday in states such as Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, among others, schools will remain closed in these states.

Educational institutions in Kashmir remained closed for the second day on Thursday in view of the flood-like situation following heavy rains in the valley over the last two days.

Eid-e-Milad will be celebrated tomorrow on September 5, 2025. The schools, colleges, and government offices usually remain closed across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
