Residents of Delhi-NCR are grappling with severe air pollution as AQI levels in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and other areas continue to remain in the very poor category. In light of this severe pollution problem, the Delhi government last week ordered the closure of schools and the introduction of online classes. There is no information yet on school holidays tomorrow (November 18), except for the implementation of hybrid learning for students from classes 1 to 5.

There is no general school holiday declared for all of Kerala for tomorrow, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, as per the latest available information. Schools across most districts are expected to be open.

Schools in Telangana, including major cities like Hyderabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, and Khammam, will remain open. No public holidays or weather warnings have been scheduled for November 18. Only local traffic advisories have been issued due to ongoing municipal works in parts of Hyderabad.

Schools in Chennai were closed on November 17, 2025, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for the city due to heavy to very heavy rainfall expected from a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. Due to the incessant rain, waterlogging, and traffic disruptions, authorities have suspended classes in government and private schools as a precautionary measure. Nearby districts, including Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, and Puducherry, have also been placed on varying alert levels, with the administration advising residents to remain vigilant and monitor official weather updates throughout the day.

If the situation remains the same, there may be a holiday tomorrow, November 18.

Unlike previous weeks affected by rains associated with Cyclone Montha, schools across Andhra Pradesh are operating normally on November 17. No new rain warnings or red/orange alerts have been issued for today, and with classes running smoothly in all districts, including Guntur, Krishna, Kadapa, East Godavari, Nellore, and Tirupati, schools are expected to function smoothly tomorrow as well.

In Meghalaya, schools are likely to remain closed for the Seng Kut Snem (November 23) festival.

Alongwith, Schools will also remain closed in various states such as Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh on Monday, November 24, the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur.

All schools in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, and Ghaziabad will remain open on November 17, 2025. There are no rain warnings, no air quality-related closures, and authorities have not declared any official holidays. Regular academic programs and examinations will continue as scheduled. In light of this, 18 schools will remain open tomorrow.
