School Winter Vacation: The Directorate of Education, Delhi has declared a winter holiday for all government institutions in the national capital from January 1 to 15. In an attempt to help kids improve their academic performance, the directorate has also arranged remedial classes for students in Classes 9 through 12 for ten days during the Delhi school winter holiday.
The directorate directed teachers to teach English, science, and math daily in Classes 9 through 11. Remedial programs for Class 10 and Class 12 students, on the other hand, will concentrate on reviewing and rehearsing pre-board exam questions. Subject teachers have also been required to teach students how to properly complete the question paper.
The Department of Education has requested school principals to draft a timetable for remedial classes before the winter holidays begin, ensuring that each period lasts at least one hour. A copy of the schedule must be provided to the relevant DDE (Zone) well in advance, it noted.
All students who will be taking remedial classes are expected to arrive at school dressed appropriately. The remedial classes will be taught by guest or contracted teachers.
