SSC MTS 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced an increase in the number of Multi Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) vacancies for SSC MTS 2024, raising the total to 6,144 from the previously announced 4,887. Including the 3,439 Havaldar vacancies in CIBC and CBN, the total number of vacancies now stands at 9,583. Candidates can check the notification at ssc.gov.in.
The commission has also announced through a separate notification that the deadline to apply for the SSC MTS and Havaldar examination 2024 has been extended to August 3, 2024, from the previous deadline of July 31.
The extension of the application deadline has resulted in a change to the cut-off date for eligibility conditions, such as educational qualifications and age limits. According to the commission's recent announcement, the new cut-off date for determining eligibility will be August 3 instead of August 1. However, the application correction window will remain unchanged, opening from August 16 to 17 at 11 pm.
SSC MTS 2024: Exam Dates
The SSC MTS and Havaldar are tentatively scheduled for October-November 2024. The exact date and time will be announced soon.
SSC MTS 2024: Educational Qualification
A candidate must have passed the Class 10 (Matriculation) examination or its equivalent from a recognised board on or before August 3.

SSC MTS 2024: Age Limit
To apply for the MTS vacancies, candidates must be at least 18 years old and no older than 25 years as of August 3 (the revised cut-off date). For Havaldar vacancies, candidates must be between 18 and 27 years old as of August 3. Reserved category candidates are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit.
SSC MTS 2024: Application Fees
Candidates are required to pay Rs 100 as the application fee for SSC MTS 2024. However, the application fee is exempted for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation.
