Failure should not be seen as the conclusion of a journey but rather as a hurdle along the way. A well-known proverb highlights that it is through failure that one gains a true understanding of success. Individuals who grasp this essential truth can persevere and achieve success even when faced with daunting challenges. Many Indians can't start their day without a hot cup of tea, and there are some inspiring success stories related to tea. One of them is about two friends, Anubhav Dubey and Anand Nayak, who started Chai Sutta Bar, a business in India that serves tea and snacks.

Let's talk about the journey of Anubhav Dubey, who shows that success isn't limited to joining top institutions like IITs, IIMs, or passing the toughest UPSC exams. He's a great example of how dedication and passion can turn a tea-selling venture into a multi-billion dollar success. Anubhav Dubey's story highlights that with determination, even the most humble beginnings can lead to remarkable outcomes. His business is flourishing, having crossed the Rs 100 crore mark as reported by media reports.

Childhood friends Anand Nayak and Anubhav Dubey are from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. Despite Anubhav's father being a successful businessman, he initially encouraged Anubhav to pursue a career in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Consequently, Anubhav moved to Delhi to prepare for the UPSC exams. However, after an unsuccessful attempt at the CA exam, he recognised his inclination towards business over a job. Anubhav Dubey is now a co-founder of Chai Sutta Bar, a thriving multi-billion dollar business.

In 2016, Anubhav Dubey chose to leave his UPSC exam preparations and venture into business. Alongside Anand Nayak, they brainstormed the concept, though they faced financial constraints. With determination, they initiated their tea business after gathering Rs 3 lakhs. Anubhav Dubey inaugurated his first tea outlet opposite the girl’s hostel.

Anand and Anubhav Dubey faced the challenge of limited funds for marketing, branding, and interior design due to their tight budget. However, with the support of friends who loaned them items and used furniture, they managed to craft and inaugurate their first outlet in Indore, located near a hostel. Due to budget constraints, they improvised by handcrafting the "Chai Sutta Bar" name on a piece of wood instead of printing a banner. The name resonated with young customers and fit the theme they aimed to convey. Presently, Anubhav and Anand have successfully set up more than 400 Chai Sutta Bar outlets across 195 cities nationwide.
