JE Education Desk: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Tamil Nadu has released the schedule for the state national eligibility entrance test (NEET) UG counselling 2023 for admission to MBBS, and BDS programmes. Candidates will be able to proceed with the choice-filling and locking process from tomorrow, July 25, 2023, on the official website of NEET UG TN 2023 at tnmedicalselection.net. The last date for registration, payment, and choice-filling is July 31, 2023.

However, the seat allotment result will be announced on August 3, 2023, and candidates can download the provisional allotment order between August 4 to August 8. The last date for joining is August 8.

While explaining the choice-filling process, DMER said, “For example, if a candidate has applied for both Government and Management quota he will have choices for both Government as well as Management quota. The candidates are encouraged to analyse all the choices available and fill their choices in order of their preference.”

DMER encouraged applicants to double-check their selections and the order of their preferences before locking them because they cannot be changed once locked. Additionally, if a candidate doesn't lock their choices manually before the deadline, they will be locked automatically.

The directorate also disclosed that for round 2, applicants would not be permitted to enrol in a category they did not select for round 1. Candidates who have been given seats must download the allotment order and report to the colleges with the necessary documentation; only the colleges will conduct document verification. They must also present a self-declaration form stating that any errors discovered during the admissions process would result in the cancellation of their admission.

Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2023: Application Fees

To begin with the process, candidates who belong to the government quota have to pay Rs 500 along with Rs 30,000 as a security deposit in self-financed colleges and state private universities and those who belong to the management quota have to make a payment of Rs 1,000 along with Rs 1 lakh as a security deposit.
