Tamil Nadu School Holiday (Dec 6): As the weather condition is not normal in several districts of Tamil Nadu due to the Cyclonic storm Ditwah. The schools in various districts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh are likely to be closed on Saturday, December 6, 2025. However, students and parents are advised to stay in touch with the school and local authorities for the latest updates.
The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has placed 13 districts plus Puducherry on yellow alert such as Vellore, Ranipet, Tiruvallur, Villuppuram, Nilgiris, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Tiruvannamalai, ghat areas of Coimbatore, Thoothukudi, and Tirunelveli.
Students and Parents are advised to keep a check on the official website of IMD for regular updates on school holidays in Tamil Nadu and several districts on 6 December 2025 due to heavy rain and Cyclone Ditwah.
Tamil Nadu School Holiday Tomorrow: Will schools be closed
There are several districts in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh which are currently experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall, schools in these states are likely to announce holidays tomorrow. Meanwhile, students and parents are advised to be in touch with their school authority and follow the instructions to ensure safety.

Other School Holiday Updates:
Kerala has announced school holidays on December 9 and December 11 due to local body elections. The Meghalaya government has announced a school holiday for December 12, 2025 for all private and government schools. Also, the (MBOSE) has postponed the practical examinations for class 11. The practical exams for class 11 will now be conducted on December 15, 2025.
Parents should monitor official district bulletins and school communications; many colleges will remain open, but individual institutions may determine their own schedules.
