Tamil Nadu School Holiday: Amid the ongoing intense rainfall in several districts of Tamil Nadu and Chennai because of cyclonic storm Ditwah, which brought heavy rainfall in several regions. Schools in various districts of Tamil Nadu- Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Nagapattinam might declare a school holiday tomorrow for safety purposes.
Cyclone Ditwah is likely to cause heavy to very heavy rainfall in several areas of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on November 29-30, 2025 and in the coastal Andhra Pradesh-Rayalaseema region from November 29 to December 1, 2025. The government and school authorities might declare a school holiday to ensure safety.
The Indian Metrological Department, IMD has issued a red alert for Tamil Nadu which means the state is likely to receive extremely heavy rain in the coming days because of cyclone Ditwah.
On Dec 1, heavy rainfall may be limited to Tiruvallur. According to the IMD predictions, a heavy to very heavy rain is likely to take place at a few places over Kancheepuram, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Vellore, Villuppuram, Tirupattur, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, and Tiruvannamalai districts.

Tamil Nadu School Holiday Tomorrow: Will schools be closed
Currently, a cyclonic storm Ditwah is likely to make a landfall on November 30, and December 1 schools in Chennai, various districts of Tamil Nadu are expected to be closed on Monday, December 1, 2025. As of now, there are no official announcements on the school closure updates, students and parents are advised to be in touch with their school authority.
