Tamil Nadu September School Holiday: With the release of the timetable for the quarterly exams for the academic year 2025, students have started preparing for their upcoming exams. Meanwhile, district collectors across the state of Tamil Nadu are announcing school holidays in view of various local events.

Schools and colleges in some of the areas of Tamil Nadu will remain closed on September 11, 2025. The school holiday has been announced in commemoration day of Martyr Emanuel Sekaran. The holiday has been announced by District Collectors across the state. 

According to the reports, District Collector K. Porkodi has announced that the holiday for schools, colleges and other educational institutions in observance of the 68th Commemoration Day of Martyr Emanuel Sekaran. which will be held in Pramamkudi, Ramanathapuram districts, Tamil Nadu.

Press Release Issued By District Collector:

A press release issued by the Collector stated: "In order to ensure that the 68th commemoration of Martyr Emanuel Sekaran, scheduled for September 11, 2025, in Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram district, is conducted peacefully, to maintain public order, and in consideration of student welfare, a public holiday will be declared for all schools, colleges, and educational institutions in the Sivagangai, Thiruppuvanam, Manamadurai, and Ilayangudi taluks/unions of Sivagangai district on September 11, 2025. These institutions will instead remain open on September 20, 2025."

TN School Quarterly Exams:

The Department Od School Education has released the quaterly exam timetable for the current 2025-26 Academic session for all classes.

Tamil Nadu schools will be conducting the Quarterly exams for students from classes 1 to 3 from September 22 to 25 while exams for classes 4 and 5 will be held from September 17 to 29, 2025.

Exams for students  in classes 6 to 10 will commence on September 15 and will conclude on September 26. CLass 11 and 12 exams will be held from September 10 to 25, 2025.
