Telangana School Dussehra Holidays 2025: The Telangana government has announced Dussehra holidays for schools and junior colleges. This year, students will get a festive break ahead of their upcoming exams. The holiday schedule varies for schools and junior colleges.

As per the directive, For schools, the holidays will begin on September 21 and continue till October 3. That’s a total of 13 days off for school students. Classes are scheduled to resume on October 4 (Saturday), but many may return on October 6.

For the Junior colleges,  the break will be slightly shorter. Their Dussehra holidays are from September 28 to October 5, an 8-day vacation. All junior colleges will reopen on October 6, in accordance with the state's school calendar.

Academic Schedule And Examination Timeline:

All schools are mandated to complete their Formative Assessment-2 (FA-2) exams before the holidays that begin on September 21. After the holidays, students will immediately prepare for the first major exams of the year. The Summative Assessment-1 (SA-1) exams are scheduled to be held from October 24 to October 31, 2025. The results of the SA-1 exams are expected to be declared by November 6, 2025.

Students of junior colleges will have little time after the holidays to prepare for their half-yearly exams, which are scheduled to be held from November 10 to November 15, 2025.
