TNPSC Group 1 2025 Exam: The examination for the TNPSC Group 1 is all set to be conducted tomorrow at several examination centres by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) in offline mode. This examination is conducted to fill in the recruitment to the several prestigious Group 1 services positions in Tamil Nadu, including Deputy Collector, DSP, Assistant Commissioner, and others.
TNPSC Group 1 2025 Exam: Exam Dates & Crucial Details
The preliminary examination will be conducted on June 15, 2025 in offline mode. Preliminary Examination is held to serve as a screening test for the candidates only and the marks obtained by the candidates in the Preliminary Examination will be considered as the qualified students for admission to the Main Examination.
Those students who are appearing for the examination are required to carry a printed copy of their admit card and valid photo ID to their respective exam centres otherwise they will not be allowed to sit for the exam. The students must reach the examination centre earlier for a smooth examination process.
The TNPSC Group 1 examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will consist of the objective-type questions that are designed to assess the general knowledge and aptitude of the candidate. The candidates were allowed to choose two preferred examination centres during the time of application filling. The final allotted exam venue was mentioned on the TNPSC Group 1 hall ticket.
TNPSC Group 1 2025 Exam: Selection Process
The selection process for the TNPSC Group 1 Service Posts will comprise three stages which will include Preliminary examination, Main examination, and Interview Process:
1. Preliminary Examination: The first stage is the preliminary examination that is designed to screen the students only. This is an objective-type examination, likely testing general knowledge, current affairs, and aptitude.
2. Mains Examination: The second stage is the mains examination in which those candidates who have qualified in the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for the mains exam. This is a descriptive-type examination that assesses in-depth knowledge of the students on various subjects.
3. Interview Round: The final and thor stage is the interview round that involves a personal interview. This will assess the candidate's personality, communication skills, and overall suitability for the posts.
4. Final Selection: The final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the total marks that is obtained by the candidates in the mains exam and the interview round.
