UGC NET Result 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the results for the UGC NET December 2024 examination. The examination was conducted from January 3 to January 27, this year. Notably, the UGC NET exam is a crucial step in assessing the eligibility of candidates to become Assistant Professors in universities and colleges across the country.

Besides, the UGC NET also act as a determining aspect for granting fellowships-- a financial grant provided to candidates to pursue PhD programs.

UGC NET 2024 examination:

  • Total registered candidates: 8,49,166
  • Total candidates who appeared for the exam: 6,49,490
  • Total candidates who have qualified: 1,67,764

However, for those who did not qualify, there are still many potential avenues to explore. Below are several options that may prove beneficial:

1. Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)

Eligibility: The CTET is mainly aimed at candidates who aspire to teach at the primary and upper primary school levels in India. This test evaluates the eligibility of individuals to teach in government-run schools.

Benefits: By qualifying for the CTET, candidates can secure teaching positions in both government and private schools across the country. The CTET qualification is a vital condition for aspiring teachers.

2. State Level Eligibility Tests (SLET)
