UGC NET December 2023: In December 2023, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will cease registration for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET). The application deadline is October 28, 2023, and the registration link became active on September 30. Candidates who meet the requirements can apply online at ugcnet.nta.ac.in, the official website.

The purpose of the UGC NET exam is to assess an Indian national's eligibility for positions in Indian universities and colleges as "Assistant Professor" and "Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor." In 83 subjects, NTA offers Computer Based Test (CBT) format NET exams for "Junior Research Fellowship" and qualifying for "Assistant Professor."

UGC NET December 2023: Eligibility Criteria

For the general category, the minimum qualifying score is 40%, while for the reserved category, it is 35%. The UGC NET cut-off 2023 is determined by several factors, some of the most significant ones being the number of candidates, vacancies, and difficulty level of the paper.

UGC NET December 2023: Application Fees

The application cost is Rs 600 for OBC and EWS applicants and Rs 1,150 for general category candidates. The application fee for Third Gender, SC, and ST is Rs 325. Candidates classified as General/Unreserved/General-EWS must have earned a minimum of 55% (no rounding off) in a Master's degree or a comparable test from UGC-accredited universities or institutions.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the National Testing Agency at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the UGC NET registration option.

Step 3: Fill out the email address, phone number, and other required details and also upload all the mandatory documents.

Step 4: Make the payment and submit the registration form.

Step 5: Download the form and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference
