UGC NET December Session Result 2026: NTA will announce the UGC NET results shortly on the NTA official website. Candidates who have appeared for the exam can check their qualification status from the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in by logging in. The exam was held on December 31, 2025, and on January 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7, 2026.

UGC NET exam is conducted for PhD admission, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and Assistant Professor posts.

UGC NET Result 2026: Steps To Download

Once the UGC NET exam result link is active, candidates can use the following instructions to download the UGC NET scorecard: 

Step 1: Visit the NTA official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on the “UGC NET Exam Result/Scorecard” download link.

Step 3: Enter your application number and password.

Step 4: The result will be displayed in PDF format.

Step 5: Download it and see your qualifications.

Is There A Rechecking/Re-evaluation Option For UGC NET Exam Result?

As per the official announcement, there is no option for rechecking or a re-evaluation process for the UGC NET exam result. Once the results are declared, they will be final. No further requests will be entertained.

UGC NET Qualifying Marks

Candidates must note that they need to score more than or equal to the qualifying marks as set by the authorities. For General category candidates, 40% total marks in both papers together is required. While candidates from SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwD, and third gender categories need to score at least 35% total marks.
