The UP Board High School and Intermediate Compartment-Improvement Examination in Muzaffarnagar has been rescheduled from July 19 to July 26, following concerns raised by district education officials about the clash with Kanwar Yatra. The religious festival, which draws thousands of devotees annually, creates significant transportation challenges that would have made it difficult for students to reach examination centers safely and on time.

District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Rajesh Kumar Srivas had written to Bhagwati Singh, Secretary of the Secondary Education Council, requesting the date change four days prior to the announcement. The letter emphasized that the Kanwar Yatra would be at its peak during the original examination date, with major highways and routes closed to normal traffic, creating substantial obstacles for the 740 students who had applied for the compartment examination.

The examination will be conducted at Government Inter College Muzaffarnagar, the sole examination center designated for the district. Out of the 58,700 students who appeared for the UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 examinations, a significant number did not achieve their expected marks, leading to the high number of compartment examination applications from students seeking to improve their scores.

The decision to postpone affects not only Muzaffarnagar but also other districts along the Kanwar Yatra route, demonstrating the Secondary Education Council's commitment to ensuring fair access to examination opportunities. Officials emphasized that while the date has changed, all other arrangements including the examination center and administrative protocols remain unchanged.

Strict Security Measures and Dual-Shift Schedule:

The rescheduled examination will maintain the same rigorous security standards and operational structure as originally planned.

The test will be conducted in two shifts: the first from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM for high school students, and the second from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM for intermediate students.

Electronic devices, including mobile phones, will be strictly prohibited inside examination halls, and the entire process will be monitored through CCTV cameras to ensure transparency and prevent any malpractice.

Center administrators have been instructed to prevent unnecessary crowding at examination entrances and will be held responsible for maintaining order. Only examinees, center administrators, teachers, and non-teaching staff will be permitted entry, with outsiders completely barred from the premises to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
