UPSSSC Lekhpal Recruitment 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has opened online applications on the official UPSSSC website. The Commission has issued the UP Lekhpal Notification 2025 on December 16, 2025, for candidates who have passed the PET Exam.
Moreover, in light of these events, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assessed the situation and instructed the commission to comply with the relevant reservation policies. In response to this instruction, the UPSSSC adjusted its vacancy allocation and released the updated list accordingly.

UP Lekhpal Recruitment 2026: Steps to Apply
Here are the key steps to register for the UP Lekhpal posts through the official website:
Step 1: Visit the official website, upsssc.gov.in.
Step 2: Enter your PET 2025 registration number. You will receive an OTP to authenticate your personal details, such as Date of Birth, Gender, and Domicile.
Step 3: After verifying your pre-filled PET profile information, fill in your educational details, such as your 12th-grade (Intermediate) certificate information.
Step 4: Upload your scanned photograph and signature.
Step 5: Pay the application fee through online modes and submit the form
UP Lekhpal Recruitment 2026: Category-Wise Vacancy Breakdown
The Commission has significantly increased the number of vacancies for the OBC, Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe categories. On the other hand, vacancies for the General category have been reduced.

Is there an application fee for UPSSC Lekhpal Application Form?
Candidates need to pay a mandatory application processing fee of Rs 25, irrespective of their categories. This means that candidates belonging to General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) have to pay the same fees.
