UP NEET UG Counselling 2025: The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME) Uttar Pradesh, is set to release the Round 1 seat allotment results for UP NEET UG Counselling 2025 today, August 14, on the official website — upneet.gov.in.
The allotment will determine admissions for 85 Per cent state quota MBBS and BDS seats in government and private medical as well as dental colleges across the state. Thousands of medical aspirants are eagerly waiting for result to see where they will begin their medical journey.
What happens After First Round Results?
Once the results are declared, candidates who have been allotted seats in the first round will be able to easily download their allotment letters between August 18 and 23 and then again between August 25 and 26.
During this period, students will have to report to their allotted institutes on time and complete admission formalities including payment of due fees and submission of required documents.
Option to Resign Seats:
Candidates not wishing to retain their allotted seat can resign two days before the start of Round 2 choice filling to claim a refund. Refund rules vary:
-Government colleges will refund the security deposit after deducting admission fees.
-Private colleges will refund the tuition fee.
Who Qualified for Round 1?
As per the revised state merit list, a total of 32,230 candidates qualified for the counselling process. An additional 1,531 candidates were also included for state-level seat allotment this year.
Only candidates who completed document verification and paid the registration fee within the deadline were allowed to fill in their college choices for Round 1.
Next Steps in Counselling:
Following the declaration of Round 1 results, focus will shift to Round 2 counselling. Candidates are advised to check the official website regularly for updates, schedules, and guidelines to avoid missing any critical deadlines.
For now, all eyes remain on today’s announcement as thousands of medical aspirants in Uttar Pradesh await their first step towards becoming doctors.
