UP Police Constable Exam 2024: The UP Police Constable Exam 2024 was conducted on February 17th and 18th in four shifts. Over 48 lakh candidates appeared in the UP police recruitment exam, including approximately 16 lakh women, in 2385 centers across the state. However, there is a persistent demand for the examination to be re-conducted, as many candidates claim that the question paper for the UP Police Constable Exam 2024 has been leaked on social media platforms.

In response to this situation, UPPRPB is urging all concerned candidates to provide evidence regarding the alleged viral circulation of the question paper on social media platforms. In an announcement made today, February 22, the board specified that candidates should submit their evidence via email to board@uppbpb.gov.in by February 23, 2024, till 6 pm. Candidates can check the UPPRPB notification at uppbpb.gov.in.

"All the general public and candidates are informed that if they have to submit any representation in this matter, then they should submit their representation along with relevant proofs and evidence, in which name, address, mobile number and Aadhaar number should be mentioned, to e-mail ID- Make sure to send it to "board@uppbpb.gov.in" by 6:00 pm (1800 HRS) on 23.02.2024 in every case so that the decision can be taken after observing/ examining the sent representation and proofs/evidences. Further action can be taken in the interest of the candidates," reads the notification.

244 People Arrested or Detained In Uttar Pradesh

In the past three days, a total of 244 individuals in Uttar Pradesh have either been arrested or detained by the police. This action is a response to allegations of adopting or planning to adopt unfair means in connection with the police constable recruitment exam. As per the statement released by the state police headquarters, these arrests or detentions were conducted between February 15 till 6 pm on February 18.

"The arrested or detained accused are being interrogated after registering an FIR against them. People and gangs involved in adopting unfair means (in exams) will be caught and strict action will be taken against them," said Uttar Pradesh police chief Prashant Kumar as reported by the news agency PTI. He further added, “Most of the arrests were made before the accused could execute their nefarious plans of disturbing the sanctity of the exam by adopting unfair means."
