UPPSC Prelims Exam 2025: In a major bureaucratic and administrative exercise, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) will conduct the PCS Preliminary Exam 2025 and ACF/RFO Preliminary Exam in all 75 districts of the state on Sunday, October 12, 2025. This is a significant step in the state's efforts to strengthen public administration by recruiting top-level officials through a transparent and secure process.
Examination centres have been set up in each district, and the entire administrative machinery including magistrates, police officers and inspectors has been deployed to ensure smooth and fair examination.
Two-Tier Security, Biometric Checks Introduces:
In light of the RO/ARO prelims paper leak in 2023, the Commission has introduced unprecedented anti-cheating measures this year. Key features include:
- Two-tier physical screening with metal detectors and manual frisking at the entrance.
- Biometric verification, including retinal scans and fingerprinting of each candidate.
-Real-time monitoring through a high-tech, IT-enabled control room along with UPPSC representatives deployed in all districts a week before the exam.
As per the UPPCS officials, any attempt at cheating will immediately alert the control room, enabling prompt action.
Stringent Punishments Under the UP Public Examinations Act, 2024:
Under the Uttar Pradesh Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, cheating in public examinations, such as the Provincial Civil Services (PCS), is a serious offense punishable by a fine, life imprisonment, or both.
This law was enacted to bring greater transparency and fairness to the examination system and to curb malpractices and paper leaks. The penalties include a fine of up to Rs 1 crore, life imprisonment, or both. the government has made it clear that malpractices will not be tolerated.
What Candidates Must Carry In Exam Hall?
UPPSC Admit Card: A printed copy of the admit card is required for entry.
Valid Photo ID: An original photo ID (like Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License) is essential.
Black Ballpoint Pens: You must carry black ballpoint pens for OMR sheet entries and other tasks.
Passport-Sized Photographs: Two recent passport-sized photographs are required for candidates whose admit card photo is unclear or lacks a name and date.
Allowed Items:
Simple Analog Watch: A regular analog wrist watch is permitted.
Transparent Water Bottle: A water bottle with no labels or markings is allowed.
Prohibited Items:
Electronic Gadgets: Mobile phones, smartwatches, fitness bands, cameras, earbuds, and other electronic devices are strictly forbidden.
Storage Media: Pen drives, CDs, and other forms of data storage are not allowed.
Bags and Valuables: Do not bring any bags, books, notes, or expensive/valuable items to the exam center, as the commission is not responsible for them

Step 2: Click on the “UPPSC PCS Prelims Admit Card 2025” link on the homepage
Step 3: Enter your login details (OTR number, date of birth, gender)
Step 4: Click on “Download Admit Card” & Check and verify the details on the hall ticket
Step 5: Download and take a printout for future use

The UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam 2025 will be conducted on October 12 across 1,435 centers in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, with approximately 6.26 lakh candidates expected to appear. The recruitment drive is aimed at filling 210 posts.
